Refund policy

When you can get your money back for a SuccessionSignal subscription or a one-off state list, and how to ask.
1. Who handles payments and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our online orders: Paddle charges you, adds any sales tax or VAT, issues your invoice and returns refunds to the payment method you used. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
2. Subscriptions (Pro and Platform)
- If your plan starts with a free trial, nothing is charged until the trial ends. Cancel before then from Account → Billing and you pay nothing.
- Cancel any time from Account → Billing. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If SuccessionSignal isn't right for you, ask within 14 days of your first subscription payment and we'll refund that payment in full.
- Later monthly payments and partial months aren't refunded, except where the law requires it.
3. One-off state lists
- Ask within 14 days of purchase, before anyone on your team has downloaded an export of the list, for a full refund.
- Once an export has been downloaded, the list has been delivered and can't be returned. The replacement promise in our terms of service still applies: if a firm on it had already sold, closed or lost its license as of the list's data date, we replace it.
- A refund ends your access to that list in the app.
4. Invoiced orders
Plans bought by invoice follow the refund terms on the invoice or order form, where they differ from this page.
5. How to ask
Email [legal@yourdomain.com] from your account's email address, with your organization's name and the date of the payment. We reply within one business day. If we can't resolve it, you can also contact Paddle through the link on your receipt.
